CityGML Import Plugin
A downloadable Plugin
This Plugin for the Unreal Engine 5 will enable you to import CityGml Files into Unreal and genereate CityModels from them.
How to Use
Simply drag the gml File into the Content Browser of the Engine or Import via rightclick -> "Import to /Game"
your file should then appear in the Content Browser. Then simply rightclick the file and press "Build Mesh"
Features
- Import CityGmlModels into the Unreal Engine
- Select individual houses and adjust them to your Wishes
- Keep the metadata and inspect them in the inspector
Know Issues/Workarounds
- UV Meshes may not be generated correctly.
- => Select the Modeling Mode (Shift+5)
- => Select the House you wish to recalculate the UV Meshes for
- => Under the Category UV, press the Button Unwrap UV or Auto UV
- You may want to recalculate Normals, because of inadequate Data.
- => Select the Modeling Mode (Shift+5)
- => Select the House you wish to recalculate the Normals for
- => Under the Category Attribute, press the Button Nrmls
- => Select the Modeling Mode (Shift+5)

Install instructions
Simply put the unzipped Folder in the Plugins Folder of your Engine or Project
